All You Need To Know About Flower Bulbs
Gardeners will all come into contact with bulbs at some period during their ongoing hobby. Gardeners that are just beginning their endeavors will have to learn how to pick out their bulbs, plant them, and grow them to the perfect plant they dreamed of.

Storage for flower bulbs is quite simple. for a short period of time, you can just keep your flower bulb in a dry and cool place. You don’t want to store a bulb like this for too long, since it would eventually lead to the decay of the bulb. A longer period of storage will have to be done with freezing, although careful procedures will have to be observed.
When you wish to plant your bulb, ideally you will want to do so when it is the Fall season. Pick a time in which you think it will be around a month and a half before the Winter brings a chilling frost to the ground. That way the bulb will have time to take up home in the ground soil before the Winter winds come to test the strength of the bulb.
Different bulbs will have to be placed at different depths in the soil, depending on their characteristics. Be careful not to dig a shallow hole, as this will leave little protection from the Winter and if the plant survives, it could be seriously maimed. Digging a hole too deep would also secure an unfortunate fate for your plant, as it would essentially bury it alive.
Last but not least, we have the soil in which you plant the bulb in. The soil needs to be rich in nutrients if the plant is going to grow correctly. Using store-bought soil isn’t such a bad idea if you aren’t sure what condition your current soil is in. Certain types of bulbs can also be helped with certain types of fertilizer, although this can differ based on the plant you are set on growing. Be careful, as some types may damage your bulbs.
